Real Madrid are having a below par season so far, as a result of which they are lingering in the third position behind Barcelona and Valencia in La Liga. Manager Zinedine Zidane is not satisfied with his team’s overall performance, especially after creating history by winning back-to-back Champions League trophies and getting hold of the League title all in last season.
Los Blancos, apart from missing last season’s heroes Alvaro Morata and James Rodriguez, have dearly suffered by the absence of injury-prone Gareth Bale. President Florentino Perez has made his mind to offload the Welshman as, as he is reportedly costing Real Madrid €1m per game, while he remains more time off the field due to one injury or the other.
Premier League heavyweights Man United, Chelsea and Tottenham Hotspur have been heavily linked with the 28-year-old fast-moving winger. However, as per the Mirror, injuries haven’t stop the Spanish giants from tagging a £85m price tag on the Cardiff-born star.
The former most expensive player was repeatedly tracked by Manchester United for the past few seasons, but any deal failed to materialise due to various reasons. However, they would like to secure the services of the Welshman when the winter transfer window gets into business in January.
Bale has been highly successful at the Bernabeu, winning one La Liga title, one each of Spanish Cups and Spanish Super Cups, two Fifa Club World Cups, three Uefa Super Cups and most importantly, three Champions League trophies.
The former Spurs man, who was last seen playing an instrumental role in their 3-1 win over Borussia Dortmund in September, is expected to miss the rest of the season due to a thigh problem.
