5 Reasons Why Jose Mourinho Should Still Remain At Manchester United
After a 3-2 loss away to Brighton, followed by a 3-0 defeat to Tottenham at home, Manchester United have been placed in some worry early on in the season.
The loss to Spurs was Mourinho’s biggest home defeat with the Red Devils, and as expected, murmurs of the gaffer being sacked are already doing the rounds.
While such a sentiment is common in the modern game that requires quick and consistently positive results in a side like Manchester United, here are 5 reasons why the side is better off if Mourinho stays:
1. Stability
A sacking is never good for a club, regardless of when it is done and under what circumstances. Jumping around with managers is merely resetting everything to 2013 each time, which is detrimental to United’s value, and is also a massive waste of money and a source of conflicting philosophies.
Mourinho has been crafting these lads for world-class success, and this was hinted strongly in some memorable performances from last season.
If he is sacked, this journey to attain stability will remain incomplete until another man is risked with the task and the wretched cycle begins again, as was the case with Moyes and LVG.
2. Stick To A Manager
As Gary Neville aptly stated (via Sky Sports), the club must behave like it has done historically and not dilly dally with managers each time things go sour.
SAF held reigns for a tremendous period of time and through good and bad, and no one can deny that such a tenure is among the several factors behind his unprecedented success with United.
No one is bigger than the club, and a man like Mourinho, who is apt to work on his flaws, as evident in his attitude towards Luke Shaw after Monday’s defeat and in his promotion of youth talents like McTominay, displays the kind of mentality they deserve at the helm.
3. Waiting Game
If a sacking is on the line, then it is best that the club waits until the end of the season to see what Mourinho can salvage.
Further, the season has just begun, and none of the other competitions United have to compete in have commenced, so writing this one off on the back of two defeats is a bit ludicrous.
Mourinho won’t take this lightly and is bound to leap back and take measures to improve the side. A mid-season sacking will just add to the confusion, regardless of who his replacement is.
4. Change In Philosophy
As of recent, Mourinho has been slowly altering his style to best suit the attacking needs of the club. This was most evident during the first half against Tottenham, when United were on the front foot and were electric in their attack.
Besides, when his defensive ploys do work, United are a team to be reckoned with, and last season was often a masterclass in the defensive game done right.
Give the man a few weeks and he may just succeed in bringing the style back to the fiery brand Old Trafford is used to, enhanced by his skill at playing the safe game.
5. Man With A Plan
Transfer failure and a lack of world-class personnel in crucial spots is the key reason behind the side’s lackluster performance so far this season.
The manner in which anger has been hurled at Ed Woodward over the past few days makes it clear that the board’s failure at landing Mourinho’s preferred targets, particularly the defensive ones, has had a direct impact on the club’s performance.
In fact, Jose’s choice and desire for a leader in the heart of their defense was spot on, and this goes on to show why Woodward must leave the transfer choices to the gaffer, and perhaps something great will ensure.
If the higher-ups learn their lesson in the winter window and spend as Mourinho directs, then his plan ought to flourish, as a roster filled with world-class talent is destined to succeed under his guidance.

The Difference Between Mourinho And Sir Alex When It Comes To Handling Transfer Issues
Jose Mourinho’s constant bemoaning over Manchester United‘s reluctance to sign new players is no secret for footballing fans over the globe.
In fact, the situation has become so dire, that reports of a rift between the manager and club officials continue to persist despite statements from the Red Devils claiming otherwise.
Executive Vice-Chairman Ed Woodward has been blamed for the problems by certain sections of the vast United fanbase, but there is no doubt that the issues go further than just one man’s decision making. Perhaps it is a failure from top to bottom that needs serious attention at the earliest.
One thing is for sure, that even if Mourinho isn’t completely at fault, his methods of dealing with disappointment are immature at the very least, as can be seen from his scathing interviews and press conferences.

Perhaps he should take a leaf out of United’s legendary former manager Sir Alex Ferguson’s playbook. A Reddit post from Manchester United‘s fanbase points to a conversation revealed by the Scotsman in his autobiography, where he was being denied the opportunity to sign Dwight Yorke by club officials.
Ferguson responded by claiming he was the manager and had the final say, resulting in a heated exchange, but eventually, the United boss did get his man.
What followed was a flurry of goals from Yorke and a season that ended in a historic treble for the Mancunian club.

While it is clear that Mourinho doesn’t enjoy the same respect that his former adversary did, it is also fair to say that the two have their own ways of dealing with a situation like a transfer hiccup, and clearly Mourinho’s method isn’t working out too well for him.
The Portuguese manager likes to publicly discuss the issues that are obviously internal, but should perhaps consider taking a step back and keeping things a little quieter for starters.

Major Update On Anthony Martial’s Transfer Situation
The Premier League, having closed its transfer window, is bound to cause several supporters to think that transfer action is off the table entirely.
This isn’t the case, as the European window will remain open till the end of August, and other giants are still keen on bolstering their rosters with fresh and capable talent.
As of such, while English clubs are likely to not sell as they are unable to sign replacements till the winter window, this arrangement doesn’t entirely rule out the possibility of transfers occurring.
Players who are unhappy, in particular, may still find themselves at the heart of speculation, and one such talent is Anthony Martial. The Frenchman, who was slated for departure for much of the summer, remained a part of the roster for the opening weeks of Manchester United’s campaign.

During their first away game at Brighton earlier this week, Martial was given the start courtesy of Alexis Sanchez picking up a late injury. Unfortunately, his uninspiring performance mimicked that of the rest of the team, and an embarrassing 3-2 defeat was on the cards.
The youngster’s performance led to a fresh bout of links with European giants. However, a major update has now been provided.

As per The Sun, Martial is willing to stay on at Old Trafford and fight for his place, keen on impressing Jose Mourinho. The report states that United deciding not to sell him in the summer has played a vital role in Martial choosing to remain at Old Trafford.
The Red Devils insistence at holding on to the 22-year-old stems from his sheer potential, and was aided by the fact that nearly all of his suitors were Premier League title competitors.
It will be a long road for Martial, particularly since Mourinho is clearly not a fan, and the rest of the star-power doesn’t aid his case either. For now, however, his supporters can breathe easy.

Man United Star Asks EA Sports To Update His Hairstyle In FIFA 19
Jesse Lingard took to Twitter to ask EA developers to update his haircut on the new FIFA game.
EA Sports’ FIFA is one of the top-selling games in the world. Footballers and fans from around the globe are eagerly waiting for the new game to arrive in the store this September.
The game is known for its incredible graphics and the range of licenses which allow them to recreate almost every footballer in Europe.
Earlier this month, EA released the trailer for FIFA 19, and a closed beta was arranged for testing its features. Leaked photos have been circulated on social media sites over the past week.
Manchester United midfielder Jesse Lingard managed to have a look at his character on the game, and the player is apparently frustrated with the game developers for failing to update his haircut once again.
Can you change my haircut now please had the same trim on your game for 99 years @EASPORTSFIFA
— Jesse Lingard (@JesseLingard) August 14, 2018
This isn’t the first time a footballer has revealed his concern about his in-game appearance.
German International, Sami Khedira had requested EA developers to change his hairstyle on the game upon the release of FIFA 18. But it took them nearly 6 months to rectify the error and upload a new game face for the Juventus star.

We will have to see if Lingard gets an updated game face before FIFA 19 releases, which is scheduled on 28th September. But the English star should definitely be happy with the celebrations that are added to the game this year.
EA seems to have included his favorite celebration, ‘The Milly Rock Dance’, which became famous after the England international performed it against Arsenal last season.

EA have also found a way to incorporate Jesse’s love for Fortnite. The new game is likely to feature the ‘hype dance’, a celebration which he used at the World Cup this summer.
With Antoine Griezmann performing the ‘L dance’ in the World Cup final, developers were likely to add at least one celebration from Fortnite on FIFA 19 this year.

WATCH: Ronaldo Takes Just 8 Minutes To Open His Scoring Account At Juventus
Juventus might have pulled off one of the biggest transfers of this summer, as they managed to take advantage of an unsettled Cristiano Ronaldo and brought him to Turin immediately.
There were rumors which claimed that Cristiano Ronaldo wanted to retire at the Bernabeu, but the Portuguese forward decided to pick up a new challenge and agreed to make a move to Juventus for a reported transfer fee of £99 million.
The 33-year old didn’t take part in the club’s USA Tour, as he recovered from this summer’s World Cup in Russia. Last week, he arrived in Turin to join the squad, and began preparations for the upcoming season.
With Serie A set to begin next week, Massimiliano Allegri got a chance to field Ronaldo in the starting lineup, as Juventus were up against their youth side on Sunday.
Ronaldo got off the mark immediately. In the 8th minute of the game, the star forward controlled a long pass from Bernardeschi before slotting the ball in the top corner.
Cristiano Ronaldo seems to be adapting to life pretty easily in Italy. The 33-year old has won all trophies possible at Manchester United and Real Madrid, and Juve will be hoping he can replicate a similar feat at his new club in the upcoming season.

AC Milan have also finally added a prolific striker in the form of Gonzalo Higuain, and will also consider themselves strong contenders for the league title this season.

Reason Why Both Spurs And United Are Not ANNOUNCING Alderweireld Deal
Manchester United have agreed on a move for Tottenham Hotspur central defender Toby Alderweireld, but reports state that the London club will only sanction the deal once they find an able replacement.
With the transfer window set to shut down on Thursday, time is the most essential factor here, and both clubs are expected to find a way through on deadline day.
The two Premier League clubs have been negotiating for the Belgian defender since quite some time now, but an agreement has failed to materialise.
But now, the Manchester club seems to have finally gotten Spurs chairman Daniel Levy to agree on a move.

According to a report in Goal, the Red Devils aren’t going to solely depend on Alderweireld, and will continue to monitor other options, in any case the move for the 29-year-old fails.

There is every chance that Spurs could move out of the deal late on Thursday, and United do not want to jeopardise their position by relying on just one plan.
The Mancunian giants are said to have opened talks with Bayern Munich defender Jerome Boateng. Some reports claim a last minute bid for Harry Maguire could also be on the cards.

Leicester City aren’t looking to sell Maguire, however, and if they do, the Foxes are likely to demand a record-breaking transfer fee.
The deal for Boateng looks to be a fair one at the moment, but it remains to be seen whether the English club can get a move done in time for the German star.
