Philippe Coutinho finally completed his much anticipated move to Barcelona in a £145 million deal in January after having struggled through to leave Liverpool for almost two campaigns.
The Reds did, however, bring in Mohamed Salah from Roma in the summer last year, whose impressive start at Anfield has helped the Merseyside club’s faithful forget about the Brazilian’s masterclass.
And as it appears the fans seem to have taken a liking to the Egypt international to such an extent that one Reds’ fan posted a video that included a new chant about the ‘Egyptian King’, Sadio Mane, Roberto Firmino, and, of course, a savage pillory on Coutinho.
The viral video took over the internet with its catchy lyrics that follow the tune of The Archies’ 1969 hit ‘Sugar, Sugar’ and goes “Salah, oh Mane Mane, Bobby [Roberto] Firmino and we sold Coutinhoooo!”

While the fans have been chanting the names of Liverpool’s ‘Fab three’ almost anyplace they get a chance to sing, Coutinho’s latest reaction says it all about how he feels of being included in the snappy chant.

After the 25-year-old helped Brazil triumph over the 2014 FIFA World Cup winners, Germany, in a 1-0 victory on Tuesday night, a German reporter pulled over the Brazilian ace to show him the video on his mobile phone and ask what he thought of the song.
The moment the reporter asked, “Do you like it?”, Coutinho rushed through to get away but didn’t fail to let his feelings known as he hastily said, “NO”.
