Manchester United Make A €60m Offer For Real Madrid Star
Having landed Fred and Diogo Dalot, Jose Mourinho’s other pursuits in the transfer market are yet to bear fruit. As things stand, just over a week remains until deadline day, and the progress of Manchester United’s numerous potential deals still stands grim.
As of such, the pursuit of a new name, while a tall order, wouldn’t be entirely a first either. However, the most recent talent that the Red Devils have been linked with is yet another midfielder.
Given Mourinho’s penchant for world-class talent, this player may just be the man for Old Trafford.
As per a recent claim by Marca, Real Madrid midfielder Mateo Kovačić still remains adamant in his desire to leave to the club.
Now, Manchester United have come knocking with an apparent bid of €60 million to get the 24-year-old Croatian to Old Trafford, and have entrusted the services of intermediary Vlado Lemic to pursue the offer.

However, and much to the dismay of United supporters, the report also adds that Kovacic has no intention of moving to the Premier League, and that Mourinho’s playing style has put him off.
Moreover, this doesn’t mean that he is satisfied at the Bernabeu either, and is expected to remind the La Liga giants of his intent to leave later this week.

Firm in passing, brilliant in holding, and clinical in dribbling, it is indeed a mystery as to why he has been unable to attain his fair share of minutes at the Spanish club. And while a switch to United would fulfill that, the player’s lack of interest does put the move in great doubt.
This is despite the fact that a talent of his caliber could be much-needed at the Mancunian outfit in order to fulfill their bid of winning the league and establishing a firm European hold. Will anything else occur in this potentially short-lived saga?

Man United Could Formalise A Deal For €40m-Rated Player In The Next 48 Hours
Manchester United could finally be ending their transfer window blues, if Spanish outlet Sport are to be believed. Their report claims that the Reds are considering making a formal offer for Colombia’s World Cup star Yerry Mina worth about €40 million.
The defender is currently at Barcelona, but is facing serious competition issues, being in a squad that boasts of Samuel Umtiti and Gerard Pique as the undisputed first-choice center-backs.
The report also lays down that United don’t consider Mina as their first choice in the window, but manager Jose Mourinho would settle for the player as a ‘great alternative’ in case he cannot sort out a deal for Leicester City’s Harry Maguire.
United have been actively pursuing the England international for much of this transfer window following an inspirational World Cup campaign with the Three Lions.

Meanwhile, Mina has also been linked with a move to Everton, but he would prefer a switch to Manchester United in case this particular deal works out. Toffees boss Marco Silva is also keen on strengthening his defence, and could be willing to dish out €30m plus €4m in bonuses for the impressive Colombian.

In case Harry Maguire decides to move to Manchester and a deal is somehow in place, the Foxes could swoop in for Mina themselves, as they too consider him an able replacement for their departing man.
The next 48 hours will be crucial when it comes to the future of Yerry Mina, as they could indeed decide whether he ends up at Manchester United, Leicester City, or in Merseyside with Everton.
