Manchester Giants Keen To Sign £50m Midfielder Before Deadline Day
Rivals on the pitch and bitter neighbors on the ground, the two Premier League giants, Manchester United and Manchester City, have often taken their fights to the financial realm as well.
The most recent instance of this would be the signing of Alexis Sanchez from Arsenal, with the Chilean initially touted to join Manchester City, before the Red Devils swooped in with a financially superior offer.
However, that might not be all for this winter window, and it appears that yet another target will be contested hotly by the Mancunian clubs.

As per Express, United have entered the fray to sign Fred from Shakhtar Donetsk, and are willing to pay the requisite £50 million to secure his services before Wednesday’s deadline.

Real Madrid Set To Offer 2 Players Plus Cash For David De Gea
The major issue would be Manchester City, who have been heavily linked with the Brazilian for quite a while now, and will not seek to be trumped by their rivals yet again.
With Guardiola not having made a single major transfer so far this window, this is one swoop he will not be eager to miss out on after the Sanchez fiasco.
But here too, financial weight might reign supreme, as City, despite their financial stature, are apparently unwilling to splash too much of a cash for a single talent. This would certainly open up the doors for the Old Trafford outfit to make the transfer.
But it would be interesting to see how the 24-year-old will fit in the United squad, which is already well endowed in terms of attacking talent as well as youngsters seeking to make a concrete mark.
To add to that is the Jose Mourinho claim that the side might not have any more role to play in the few days left in the ongoing transfer window.
Regardless, the chance to spite their neighbors twice in the same month might be too good of an opportunity for the Reds to pass, and in less than a week, the record will be set clear.

What Yeovil Fans Shouted At Alexis Sanchez
Manchester United were able to brag about the brand new signing, Alexis Sanchez during their most recent outing to Somerset in the FA Cup, where they faced League 2 side Yeovil Town.
As usual, the FA Cup encounter didn’t fail to entertain and going into the halftime the scoreline stood 1-0 to United courtesy of a late Marcus Rashford goal. The goal was the sole flaw from an otherwise strong home side.
But all eyes would be on the new no.7, Sanchez, who made the debut start despite several questioning his match fitness. Being deployed in the front three behind Rashford, the Chilean clearly played the role of a man around whom a team deserves to be built.
However, it would appear that not everyone shares this opinion, least of all the ever-ready for banter home fans. Apart from booing United’s new signing during the warmup, they were also notorious for a certain encounter during the half.
It would appear that when Sanchez was nearing the home fans, they screamed this out at him: “You dropped a tenner, Alexis”
Watch Reactions:
There lies the nature of the English game, where seemingly nothing is sacred, particularly not the Premier League’s highest paid player.
In fact, it would seem that this very attribute is what has gifted the Chilean with such comments. It is also in line with the generic brand of criticism being directed at him, with a desire for money being addressed as the reason behind his move to Old Trafford.

Arsenal Fans Are Hating Jesse Lingard’s Tweet To Alexis Sanchez
With yesterday’s announcement, Alexis Sanchez is now officially a Mancunian, as Manchester United and the related parties enjoy the completion of the deal.
The Chilean is a player worth the insane measure of wages they decided to throw at him.
Although it’s sceptical as to whether the superstar would make any difference to the club status this campaign, the former Barca attacker would indubitably be an asset for the years to come.

Regardless of whether Lingard gets replaced, the addition of the ex-Arsenal anchorman would undoubtedly take the Old Trafford outfit to great heights. Now that Jose Mourinho feels complete concerning the offensive line, United could pose a threat to the league contenders from now on.

Big Transfer Battle: Conte And Mourinho Fight For £53m Signing
Jose Mourinho is set to clash his horns with Antonio Conte again, but this time in the transfer division. The Portuguese tactician has now registered his interest over the Juventus left-back Alex Sandro.
The 54-year-old has been bothered by the shortage of supplies for operating on the left back position since his advent to Old Trafford.
However, the prestigious gaffer believes the £53 million-rated Brazilian would be the best piece to implement there and is now determined to endeavour for pursuing the Blues’ target.
Accordingly, the influential figure is pushing the wealthy club to meet the fee demands of the Serie A giants.
Regardless, according to Mirror, the Red Devils’ interest faces the likelihood of getting eroded by the summer.
Nevertheless, if Conte successfully convinces the hierarchy of the defender’s worth soon, there could be a showdown in the current window featuring Chelsea and Man Utd, with both clubs possessing vast financial prospects.
Reportedly, the Italian club will let go of the talented defender if they could find a proper replacement. And their quest for a left-back has informed Paris Saint-Germain of the likelihood of the 26-year-old’s early departure.
Additionally, the cold war going on between Conte and Mourinho is expected to spice up the fight for the signature of the Brazil international, moreover backed by the financial prowess of their respective clubs.
Although the Old Trafford outfit is satisfied with Luke Shaw’s recent performance, the ex-Chelsea boss craves for the Brazilian defender’s services. And United would purportedly back their manager with extra transfer cash.
Natheless, they’re also willing to wait on the deal in view of the fact that Conte’s long-term prospect at Stamford Bridge remains uncertain.

Premier League Giants Interested In Signing Serie A Midfielder In Bargain £21m Deal
Several of the Premier League’s elite clubs are in the hunt for Lorenzo Pellegrini, as per reports.
The Roma midfielder has attracted a lot of attention from a number of clubs around Europe this season, with his consistent performances for the Italian side catching the eye of several powerhouses.
The youngster’s stats are not too shabby either, with an impressive 21 appearances under his belt so far, scoring two goals along the way.
The most attractive part of Lorenzo to most clubs though, is his price. The 21-year-old is only worth a paltry £21 million at the moment – a figure Roma are desperately attempting to change.
Pellegrini graduated from Roma’s academy, and had been on loan at fellow Serie A side Sassuolo for two seasons.
His sudden burst onto the scene at his parent club this campaign has left the Giallorossi scrambling for their cheque book in a bid to give him a new and improved contract.
This would naturally see a rise in his price, but Roma fear that a big club may come in with an irresistible offer before they get the chance to do so.
Manchester duo and Chelsea are all keeping tabs on the young midfielder, and are eager to swoop in before each other to avoid missing out on a bargain.

OFFICIAL: French Sensation Signs Manchester United Deal
The Frenchman had been a part of the Gunners outfit for 10 years but was dropped this season and was able to muster only 7 appearances in all competitions.
During his tenure at the London side, he was loaned off to Lorient, Freiburg, and Charlton but was able to make a proper run from 2014. He won two FA Cups, in 2015 and 2017 with the side.
At Valencia, Coquelin will be hoping to aid the club’s efforts at making life hard for Real Madrid and Barcelona and continuing their knack for being an unignorably emerging side in European football.
Speaking on the club’s official site, he had this to say: “I have seen the team, they are going along very well, they are third in the table. I have watched their recent games, since I knew that the negotiations between the two clubs were picking up, such as the Copa del Rey game versus Las Palmas. They were very good. I believe that the players are doing a great job. Obviously, I am here to help the team and to help them hit their targets.”
